Here is a list of websites that I have found either useful and/or entertaining. I intend to make this list longer in time thus hopefully it will become a useful one-stop resource of useful sites. Firstly, if you don't have anti-virus software installed, get some now. Today. Don't delay. After all, you might receive a system-crashing virus with your next e-mail, and you wouldn't want to lose your valuable data or send that thing out to your friends without your knowledge, would you? There are others, but these companies are very popular, and offer tried, tested, and regularly-updated products. |

AVG AntiVirus
|
There is a free anti-virus program here if you don't have the resources to buy one. Of course, you can buy a more functional version from AVG, but the free edition is also a very effective virus killer, and timely updates are released as required. |
Secondly, get yourself a firewall. Some of the anti-virus sendors provide this with some of their packages, but you can download a freeware version of Zone Alarm from Zone Labs, or buy a much better version from them if you prefer. |

This is another handy site to know about, since it hosts the anti-spyware tool
called Spybot Search and Destroy. It detects and removes spyware from
your computer. Spyware causes your system to behave in an unexpected manner: perhaps you have
started experiencing more frequent system crashes, or have a browser toolbar you don't remember
installing, or the advertising you receive is
suspiciously reminiscent of websites you frequent, or maybe your Internet searches get rerouted
through unexpected websites. If you suspect any untoward goings-on on your computer, this
