This site was written in my spare time when I had nothing better (or else!) to do.
Really, the whole thing is an experiment in writing HTML and trying to write a site that
would be vaguely navigable. You'll notice that I haven't used any flashy graphics
and that my pages are quite small in terms of KB. This is for two reasons: firstly I
don't have the time to create anything like that, but more importantly, flashy stuff
typically takes up a lot of space, hence ages to download, thus visitors are likely to
hit that "Stop" button before your first graphic appears. I'm talking about
large pages here, not Macromedia Flash stuff (which I'd love to get into given the time).
I've also tried to reduce the Suckiness Factor. The Suckiness Factor is a measure of
how hard a site sucks: 0=not at all, and 10=Like a tornado.
So no persistent pop-ups
(aren't they irritating?), massive pictures
reduced to thumbnail size by exessive use of HEIGHT and WIDTH controls,
Mystery Meat Navigation, etc. either.
When you are on any page (except the home page of
course) you may click the header banner to return to the
home page.
Also, all my pages have a little table like the one at the end of this page
allowing you to navigate to certain other pages on this site.
In the My Pictures section you may also click on
the pictures themselves to return to the
My Pictures index.
One more thing ... This site was designed at a resolution of 800 by 600 with
large fonts, so it will be best viewed at that resolution or higher.
